reading - praying - growing

lately, bud and i have been very diligent in praying together and for one another. what a blessing it is. tonight we started a bible reading program. i don't know if he will do each day with me, but it was nice to read together tonight. we have been lacking in that area a lot. but i feel that since we put a more solid date for moving back to Hong Kong, it gave us the push we needed to take this life more seriously. obviously, i don't mean we are just doing this because we are moving, but we realize that we need to be spiritually mature and prepared, in and out of season. so praying and reading together is the first step.

the joy and intimacy that comes with reading God's word is incredible. so much in fact that i am in bed writing this from my phone just because i needed to express that it is so rewarding and encouraging when you do as God desires... it's even more amazing when you start to see differences almost instantly. i cannot wait to see how far God takes us on this journey. it always amazes me - that even after a time of laziness and lack of reading/fellowship with God on a more personal basis, the rejuvenation to my soul is always beautiful.

God truly does cover us with "grace upon grace. 恩上加恩." (john 1:16)

bud - i love you, baby. thank you for wanting to be effective and prosperous in our Lord with me. thank you for wanting to be better like i want to be better. i loving you.

Psalm 1
1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
2 but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.
3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.
4 The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away.
5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;
6 for the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

grace&peace.
