FB Post...

i'm completely happy that everyone is talking about the invisible children video about joseph kony. my heart is overly delighted that people want to see an end to the LRA, to see child soldiers redeemed, and to see the mass murdering stopped. my heart has been beeping for the invisible children for 7 or so years.

please read this blog entry as it completely mirrors my thoughts and my heart about the situation. i love what the invisible children have done, i've financially supported them in the past. but currently, i'm not sure if i'm 100% behind them for the same reasons that are mentioned in this blog, and will do some more research on the subject,

HOWEVER! we definitely need to keep our eyes on what is at stake, what has happened in the years past, and we need to definitely keep pressuring our political leaders to bring an end to this maddness. i'm not one for policing the world, but this brings my heart so much saddness. possibly because i have a heart for these people.

the amount of publicity and the amount of awareness that is spreading like a wildfire throughout the internet is amazing. its encouraging but also nerve-wrecking. i don't want this to end up being a short-lived passion in peoples lives. you can't expect the change that you want overnight. not when it comes to things at intricate or involved as the LRA. like john and hank say in this blog - this is a marathon, not a sprint. please lets keep the momentum for however long it takes to see these evil acts truly abolished. <3 this has been on my heart since yesterday and i'm so thankful that john and hank green posted this response. please read it and lets prepare for the longhaul.
i love this little boy. i don't know him. will probably never meet him. but my heart loves him and wants him to have as normal of a life that he can.

this is from the invisible children's original documentary and what i meant by my heart is beeping for the invisible children.

blessings.
